Tahoe Rim Trail Snowshoeing Events
TRTA snowshoe events are great for new-timers, old timers, and the entire family to try snow sports, and to discover the great fitness and social benefits with the easy-to-learn winter sport of snowshoeing. Winter Blue Adventure Race
Sunday, March 9th 2008 @ 9:30 am
Modeled after the extremely successful summer adventure series, the Tahoe Winter Blue is a multi-discipline event in which teams of two will utilize snowshoes and/or free heel skis to make their way around the winter wonderland of Northstar's previously inaccessible backcountry terrain in search of hidden checkpoints. Designed to be completed between 3-5 hours, the Tahoe Winter Blue provides an enjoyable experience for both professional athletes looking for physical challenge as well as recreational athletes looking for a playful day in the backcountry of the Sierra.
