Boca, Stampede, and Prosser Creek

Location: North of Truckee, CA off Hwy. 89.
Rainbow, brook and brown trout. Live bait – worms, eggs, small spinners and flies.
Licenses: Any person, 16 years of age or older, must have a valid California or Nevada sport fishing license to fish in Lake Tahoe. Surrounding lakes and streams require a license for the state in which the person is fishing.
Hours: Fishing in Lake Tahoe is legal one hour before sunrise to two hours after sunset. In all other bodies of water in the Tahoe area (Sierra District) fishing is legal one hour before sunrise to one hour after sunset.

Cave Rock

Location: NV east shore Lake Tahoe.
Rainbow and brown trout. Best time of year: May through July.

Location: Donner Lake
Easy access docks on north shore. Live bait, eggs and spinners.

Location: Above south shore Lake Tahoe in Desolation Wilderness. Short drive from Hwy. 50.
Boat and shore fishing. Shore fishing good from dam.

Artificial Lures only.

Sawmill Pond

Location: 1 mile south of South Lake Tahoe along Lake Tahoe Boulevard.
Stocked pond for children up to 15 years of age. Adults are allowed to help children fish but are not permitted to fish themselves.

Live bait can be used.
